VLC v3.0.12: issues like 3D video filters, audio distortion etc are been sorted out

 

For macOS users, major changes are been announced with the latest version of VLC, 3.0.12. This will be very helpful for the users who have an M1-powered Mac. This is the very first version of the video player that primarily supports the Apple Silicon.

The x86 application will be present as it is even after updating to version 3.0.12 of VLC. From the menu icon, you have to check for the updates, after the v3.0.12 version will be shown to you which are the real ARM application of the version.

Even after having Intel-powered Mac, you have to download this update as the problems like audio distraction will be sorted out by this application. Big Sur also has some UI improvements.

Keeping Macs aside, VLC’s latest version is believed to support for RIST protocol which will improve the settings for how the adaptive streaming resolutions are being handled and managed, updates for YouTube and Vocaroo scripts, touching the web interface and the patches security concerns. Moreover, the issues with the Direct3D video filters are been sorted out.
