The U.S. labor board official gives the statement since 2014 THE first U.S. union election by Amazon Inc. is scheduled in the early month of February which will be conducted by the mailing of ballots. The voting counting will start on March 30, 2021.

By hearing this announcement the employees are now much clear about their decision of joining the Retail, Wholesale & Department Store Union (RWDSU) and bring them together at Amazon’s fulfillment center in Bessemer, Alabama.

The Unions are very successful in conducting at Amazon, for example; In France last year they bring about one-month-long closure of its warehouse. According to the report, On January 7 nearly 6,200 hourly workers are been employed by Amazon at the warehouse. The majority of the people who submit the ballots are needed by the union for winning. However, Amazon would rather go with in-person voting as it is known as the safest and appropriate method to conduct the election in the extreme worse situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After Walmart Inc., the 2nd largest private employer in America whereas Amazon already had managers that are well trained for spot organizing activity. There was also a website that further gives a warning to the Bessemer employees, “Why we pay nearly $500 in dues? We’ve got you covered with high wages, health care, vision, and benefits of dental.”

Amazon also mentioned in the statement that the purpose of the website was only to educate acknowledge the staff regarding “facts behind joining a union” and that “they will keep continuing to please for the fair election.” Further, they also cleared that their in-person denied scheme will be upgraded for “vote fidelity, vote count’s timeliness and associate convenience.”

The comment was denied by RWDSU.

Criticism over the conduction of theCOVID-19 pandemic was faced by the world’s largest online retailer.

In the context of which, some of the workers started doing protest and demanding their termination outside the warehouse. In the company’s individual sections the labor organization has begun.

In the month of September, on the average or more 19,000 COVID-19 cases are been reported by Amazon. It also mentioned that they are paying more attention to the cleaning, temperature checks, and virus tests and also taking many other steps in order to maintain hygiene and protect workmates.

The board filing stated that the ballots will be mailed on February 8, 2021.
