Confirmation of Redmi K30 Ultra successor featured 6 nm MediaTek Dimensity SoC on an upcoming event on January 20

 


An event was scheduled for January 20 to disclose its very new production mobile chipset a few days back. The expectation of the silicon is about to be 6nm Dimensity series SoC, the company was teased for this back in November 2020. Just after the official announcement, a smartphone that is powered by this chip has confirmed by Redmi’s GM.

The Redmi K40 series which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888’s arrival is confirmed by the General Manager, Lu Weibing. He highlights many points in which he also discloses that in the month of February the brand’s new production of smartphone series.

Today he also surprised his followers on Weibo by the confirmation of another high-end Redmi smartphone powered by the upcoming 6nm MediaTek Dimensity SoC. He also told that Redmi K30 Ultra featuring MediaTek Density 1000+ has now soon replaced as it is reached to the limits. So for compensation, a new device featuring the latest Dimensity chip will replace it in 2021.

The launching time period of this handset was not mentioned by him. It seems like as Redmi K30 Ultra it will come up in the second half of the year. We can also assume that the coming Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series chip and Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Crossing the fingers for the 3rd device which will feature the new MediaTek chip in the Redmi K40 series that is going to launch in the next month of February.

According to the rumor and the leak which are coming up, the latest production Dimensity chip will bear:

·        Model number: MT6893

·        Octa core processor built on 6nm fabrication process

·        CPU: 1 x ARM Cortex-A78 clocked at 3.0GHz, 3 x ARM Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.6GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0GHz

·        GPU: ARM Mali-G77 MC9
