Microsoft re-treated the plan to lift up the price for the subscriptions to Xbox Live Gold, its paid online gaming platform, after offending from the users.

This price would be increased by 2 times more than the cost of an annual pass and is carrying a 6-month subscription to $60 (roughly Rs. 4,400). In the previous year, Microsoft had dismissed the option for the full-year subscription from the online stores at that cost. The monthly subscription cost will be the same as it is.

The company had given the statement saying that “We messed up today and you were right to let us know”. “Connecting and playing with friends is an important part of gaming and we’re failed to fulfill the expectations of players who count on it every day. Resulting, we have made a decision not to change Xbox Live Gold pricing.”

The previous move had lowered the cost of Xbox Live Gold nearer to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a more costly payment that has also given them access to games and other perks.

Microsoft has made the Game Pass its strategy attracting the reliability with the latest launch of the Xbox Series X. Though, the gamers get so annoyed that Microsoft has announced the plan in increment in the price of a subscription severely in this time of the pandemic, in which people are spending all their time in the games and big screen devices, no work and more unemployment. Users are expressing their dissatisfaction online and they are comparing the subscription price to Sony's PlayStation Plus, which is $60 per year.

On Friday, on Twitter, this headline was one of the trending topic, a gamer Zay twitted that “Xbox users gotta sell their Xbox just so they can get Xbox live gold.”

Microsoft is out of touch with its community and the economic reality is said by another user.

In explanatory the previous step, Microsoft stated that the cost of the Xbox Live Gold “has not changed for years and in some markets, it hasn't changed for over 10 years.”
