Google: New feature is under work, no need to share password for using Wi-Fi

 


The new feature is under work by Google through which easily you can share Wi-Fi passwords. It will be working on Google’s Nearby Share which will be present in Android 12. This app is the same as that of Apple’s AirDrop. Through these sharing pictures, videos, apps from Google Play, and location share will be done from Google Maps with nearby phones by the Android users. Presently, Android 10 users are allowed and sharing Wi-Fi passwords in QR code form lately.

Google engineers Abel Tesfaye submit a new commit to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and XDA Developers had spotted this, “Share Wi-Fi” page will be applied in Android 12 that will display the Wi-Fi sharing option and is long pressed Wi-Fi QR share fragments. When the user taps the button that is mentioned above the screen, Sharing nearby users will be authorized in sharing QR codes.


This feature is absolutely amazing and will be very helpful if someone wishes to have full control over their Wi-Fi. In simpler words, without sharing and telling your password one can easily share the Wi-Fi by sending QR codes. Also, it will confirm from both the sender and the receiver that the QR code is being shared to the right person from the right person. This latest feature will be applicable in Android 12 Developer Preview upcoming month. The final release is expected to be the second half of the year 2021.
