Issues are being investigated by Google
regarding Android apps that use the Android Exposure Notifications System
which tracks the spread of COVID-19 says GOOGLE.
An issue had arisen that was causing the delay
for the application s which use the system, it takes much time to load the
result and also delays in giving the regular checkup notification
This Android issue affects the NHS COVID-19 an app that is being used across England and Wales and not giving the results and
the notification stocks in different areas.
On Wednesday, a Google spokesperson told “The Verge” that they are aware of the
issues which are created regarding the Android apps which are developed by using
the Android Exposure Notifications System and the engineers are doing
investigation over this matter.
On
same day in the afternoon, Google again tells The
Verge that the issues have been fixed, but it might take time to ease.
On
January 12 in the evening Google spokesperson said in a statement that a problem
with the Exposure Notifications System on Android started delaying in the
checking of potential exposures for those who installed the application. They
mentioned that they fixed the issue but may take time to catch up.
The Company also told The Verge that the problem arose
with the configuration of the signature key. In the outcome of which any positive
COVID-19 patients can spread the virus among many and this is a very serious
problem.
Worldwide all the applications that are been
used by the Android Exposure Notifications System are being affected.
In the Netherlands, the CoronaMelder app is
also facing this huge issue. On the average of 10 million people in England and Wales downloaded NHS
COVID-19 app in the month of September, but we cannot
say what is the split count of downloads between iOS and Android.
In April 2020, for the Android Google was the
first one to introduced its coronavirus tracking system that uses Bluetooth to unspecifically broadcast data that worldwide
then enables tracking and tracing programs.
