Issues are being investigated by Google regarding Android apps that use the Android Exposure Notifications System which tracks the spread of COVID-19 says GOOGLE.

An issue had arisen that was causing the delay for the application s which use the system, it takes much time to load the result and also delays in giving the regular checkup notification

This Android issue affects the NHS COVID-19 an app that is being used across England and Wales and not giving the results and the notification stocks in different areas.

On same day in the afternoon, Google again tells The Verge that the issues have been fixed, but it might take time to ease.

On January 12 in the evening Google spokesperson said in a statement that a problem with the Exposure Notifications System on Android started delaying in the checking of potential exposures for those who installed the application. They mentioned that they fixed the issue but may take time to catch up.

The Company also told The Verge that the problem arose with the configuration of the signature key. In the outcome of which any positive COVID-19 patients can spread the virus among many and this is a very serious problem.

Worldwide all the applications that are been used by the Android Exposure Notifications System are being affected.

In the Netherlands, the CoronaMelder app is also facing this huge issue. On the average of 10 million people in England and Wales downloaded NHS COVID-19 app in the month of September, but we cannot say what is the split count of downloads between iOS and Android.
