Gmail is one of Google’s most used products, which means the company likes to cram in a lot of integrations with its other tools. Last year, the sidebar Rooms sections and Chat for the support appeared costumers for a G Suite interface redesigned. Now Google is introducing an update that allows users to resize these sections according to their needs.
The company says this makes it easier to
keep track of your most important conversations and navigate to chats faster
than before. The chat and rooms sections can be resized by clicking and
dragging the section header to make it longer or shorter depending on your
preferences.
While
this isn’t a major revolution, it’s a handy addition to have. According to
Google, the customizable sidebar sections are rolling out to Google Workspace
Essentials, Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise
Essentials, Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus in the coming days, as well
as G Suite.
