data with location and phone number with Facebook-owned Messenger and also with
its constituents like Messenger and Instagram.

In
India, users are going towards other alternatives such as Signal and Telegram as advertising Whatsapp is not appropriate
this time as customers are aggressive. In an application of Delhi High Court, a
lawyer Chaitanya Rohilla said "It virtually gives a 360-degree profile
into a person's online activity”.
In
an application it was mentioned that Whatsapp was threatening national security
by transferring and storing the user data to other countries. February 8 is the
deadline for the users to agreeing on the new terms given by Whatsapp.
The application also includes, this is such a random behavior which the democracy
will never accept and totally is ‘ultra vires’ and it is also in opposition to
the fundamental rights in the constitution of India.
On
Friday, the Delhi High Court will look into the matter.
Yet,
no reaction has been given by Whatsapp and the privacy of messages with family
and friends will not be affected and only business chats are affected by the
change is the statement given by WhatsApp.
