On Wednesday, Amazon India formally launched the Amazon Academy as its new edutech journey in the country. This is a rebranding of the JEE Ready app that in December 2019 was debuted and now is currently designed especially for engineering aspirants who are basically preparing for IIT-JEE and other engineering entrance exams.

This is a great initiate and is also offering the learning material along with the assessments and live streams in Physics, Maths, and Chemistry. According to Media Report, it has been suggested that the Indian subsidiary of Amazon has planned Amazon Academy for a few months in the country more.

The company has stated that all the learning material and the content for the exams on the Amazon Academy is all prepared and developed by excellent faculty from all over the country.

This content will help the aspirants to prepare for BITSAT, VITEEE, SRMJEEE, and MET exams along with the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) engineering exams.

It has also claimed by the Amazon Academy that the mock tests with more than 15,000 questions which are handpicked by the faculties, it also contains hints from the expert sides. It will also perform the life All India Mock Tests (AIMT) at the interviews which are scheduled. There is also a crash course option for 6 weeks for the upcoming JEE Main Exam.

In order to help the engineering students to improve their results and have placements this Academy tracks to progress all time to identify strengths as well as weak areas. This platform will also allow the students to self-test to know their skills and intelligence through personalized reports with the chapter wise time and strength analysis. The progress options are also available in order to examine themselves and mark their current progress.



Initially, Amazon is offering the content-free but it may introduce a fee structure in some time.

The application by the name Amazon Academy is available in beta through the Web or via the Android app which is on Google Play and can be easily found.

.Furthermore by Omidyar Network India and RedSeer, a report stated that by 2020 the edu-tech sector for students between grade 1–12 in India will grow six-fold to $1.7 billion (roughly Rs. 12,439 crores). Big tech companies like Google and Facebook also have an eye at the sector, and also already invested in Bengaluru-based startup Unacademy.
